Top > Cloth Diapering Resources > Stuffing a Pocket Diaper
Here are two styles of stuffing your pocket diapers. Jen prefers to fold in half first then place inside the pocket, whereas Holly prefers to fold in thirds first. Everyone is different, so choose the way that works best for you!

If you are stuffing a small pocket diaper or a one-size diaper on the lower rise settings, use Holly’s folding technique, but fold in three the other way!

If you are stuffing a Fuzzi Bunz, then you will need to fold the insert at least in 3 depending on what size you are using

Style #1: Stuffing a Pocket Diaper (folding in half)

Simply fold your insert in half (or in three if using a smaller diaper or one-size diaper on the smallest rise setting)

Stuff it in the diaper.

It’s ready to go!

Style #2: Stuffing a Pocket Diaper (folding in three)

Larger pocket diapers or one-size diapers on the larger rise settings.

We recommend folding the insert in three.

Once it has been folded in three, simple stuff the insert into the pocket of the diaper.

Once it has been placed in the diaper, then put your hand inbetween the layers and spread out the insert so that it touches both edges of the diaper (in the crotch area) to be sure that there are no places that pee can escape. That’s it!
